This company covered the entire range of video production projects. Everything from B2B to B2C and everything in between. They had the knowledge and gear required for just about everything you can imagine.

Servicing both pre and post-production tasks, they offered their clients an all-inclusive service that delivered high value to the projects they were a part of. After refining their craft over many years it was time for them to take the next step.

Challenge

Being in this field for multiple decades they knew what they were doing. That being said, it was time for them to expand. For them expanding meant reaching out to more physical locations to garner more clients.

But how do you become known in other surrounding metropolitan areas without having a dedicated headquarters in the area? Traveling for work was not something that scared them, in fact that’s exactly what they were looking to do more of. But the question remained, how exactly do we become seen in these areas as a valid and trusted video production solution?

The Strategy

First, we need to understand where the client is exactly willing to travel to and what cities they’re looking to target. Then the process of segmenting their website for different locations can begin. While there are different ways this can be achieved we went with a very specific landing page + primary page strategy. By using this “one-two punch” combo it allowed us to create territory on the website dedicated solely to the locations they were looking to do business in.

What We Learned

Once the initial web assets and setup was in place it was simply a matter of doing the same thing over and over. Whenever the client specified a new territory of interest. Sometimes focusing on creating a systematic approach is more important than the actual content itself, especially if the issue is budget.
